Hello! I am Egor Dubenetskiy, a student of software engineering
from Russia. Welcome to my homepage!
About me (using bullet points)
I am a second-year
ITMO University student.
I am fond of mathematics in its most manifestations.
Favourite branches are pure and discrete mathematics,
metamathematics, mathematical logic, abstract algebra, type theory.
My favourite music genres are rock and its subgenres, including
alternative and post-rock, as well as folk
and instrumental music. I consider
being one of the best YouTube performers.
I love Star Trek.
I have learnt nearly a dozen programming languages
and several markup languages. The fields I am versed in
are object-oriented development, systems programming and scripting.
- Studying programming since 2006.
- Using GNU/Linux since 2010.
- Writing scripts on Ruby since 2014.
Quite familiar with digital typesetting. I can not stand anyone who
typeset using whitespace, especially when utilizing Microsoft Office
- Applying TeX since 2014. The compiler is XeLaTeX.
- Studying cryptography and using GnuPG since 2015.
- Learning and programming Rust since 2016.
I prefer YAML rather than JSON, respect UNIX principles and usually
advocate for human-readability and human-friendliness.
I am a perfectionist, a beginning rationalist
and experienced linguistic prescriptivist.
